From nine-time nominated and five-time NAACP Theatre Award winning Writer and Producer Kinnik Sky, comes her new gripping Dramedy, PEACE BE STILL! This perplexing story of love and life will have you falling out of your seats with laughter!
PEACE BE STILL is the sequel to her two-time award winning play PIECES that left audiences in awe and the great legendary actress Angela Bassett saying, “With wit, wisdom, and wonderful performances, Kinnik Sky’s PIECES is engagingly complete.”
Dr. Nile Winters has it all. She’s ambitious, educated and has an awesome career. Her fortune of love includes an over-bearing mother, a loving twin brother, and three boisterous and loyal best friends. They give her all the support of humor, lots of love and laughs, but she’s missing one thing: the final check mark on her list—a Husband. After investing three-years in a suiter far more her junior, their relationship becomes another failed attempt at happily ever after. When a former lover returns to put a ring on it, she quickly learns that all good-byes aren’t “good-bye” really. Finally, she can go from wifey-to- wife, but as the good saying goes, “Be careful what you ask for,” because what she thought came packaged as a dream, quickly turns into a nightmare as she finally gets her man, she makes it known she didn’t sign up for his ex tagging along! No one is prepared for the drama that unfolds. It will leave her and the audience screaming “PEACE BE STILL!”
